Semenyo lifts first major trophy as Man City beat Arsenal in Carabao Cup final

Ghana forward Antoine Semenyo has lifted the first major trophy of his career after playing a key role in Manchester City’s 2-0 victory over Arsenal in the Carabao Cup final.

The 26-year-old, who only joined City during the January transfer window from AFC Bournemouth, completed the full 90 minutes as Pep Guardiola’s side secured the season’s first domestic silverware.

City’s victory was sealed in the second half through a brace from Nico O’Reilly, who delivered a match-winning performance to hand the Premier League champions the trophy. Semenyo, deployed largely on the right flank, also came close to getting on the scoresheet, narrowly missing the target with a curling effort after cutting inside.
