Gloria Sarfo and Adjetey Anang Champion Food Security Through RNAQ Foundation Initiative

Renowned Ghanaian screen icons, Gloria Sarfo and Adjetey Anang, have once again demonstrated their commitment to social responsibility by participating in a high-impact initiative aimed at addressing food insecurity in Ghana.

The actors were actively involved in the launch of RNAQ Foundation food banks in Madina and Odorkor, where they personally served hot meals to vulnerable members of the community. Their participation underscores the growing influence of public figures when channeled toward meaningful social change.

Addressing Food Insecurity

The RNAQ Foundation, led by its founder, Mr. Richard Nii Armah Quaye, has initiated this project as a direct response to the pressing challenge of food insecurity across the country. The food banks are designed to provide free, nutritious meals to thousands of Ghanaians, particularly targeting homeless children, underprivileged families, and individuals facing temporary hardship due to unforeseen circumstances.

At the heart of this initiative is the principle that access to basic necessities, such as food, is a fundamental human right, and that no Ghanaian should go to bed hungry.

Launch Event and Vision

The launch, held on August 1, 2025, at the La Palm Royal Beach Hotel in Accra, provided a platform for Mr. Quaye to outline his vision for the project. During the event, he emphasized the long-term goals of the food bank, which include both immediate relief and the creation of a sustainable system to combat hunger and poverty in Ghana.

To ensure the project’s longevity and expansion, Mr. Quaye pledged to allocate 90% of the dividends from his diverse business ventures to the RNAQ Foundation food bank. This level of personal investment reflects the foundation’s dedication to tackling one of Ghana’s most pressing social challenges.

Celebrity Engagement: One Celebrity, One Ladle

The initiative has been branded under the “One Celebrity, One Ladle” theme, highlighting the importance of celebrity involvement in driving social change. Figures such as Gloria Sarfo and Adjetey Anang serve as ambassadors, demonstrating how even small acts of kindness—amplified by public influence—can create a ripple effect of positive impact within communities.

During the launch, both actors expressed their enthusiasm for the project and encouraged their peers to leverage their platforms for societal good. Their participation is a powerful reminder that celebrities can play a pivotal role in shaping community development and inspiring collective action.

A Call to Action

The RNAQ Foundation food bank initiative represents more than just the distribution of meals—it embodies a vision of compassion, community, and sustainable development. It invites citizens, organizations, and public figures to contribute to a future where food security is a reality for all Ghanaians.

By combining personal commitment, strategic investment, and public engagement, the project sets a benchmark for social responsibility in Ghana. As Gloria Sarfo, Adjetey Anang, and Mr. Quaye have shown, meaningful change begins when individuals and communities come together to address urgent social challenges.

EASTERN FM 105.1 MHZ will continue to provide updates on the progress and expansion of the RNAQ Foundation food bank across the country.
