Italian Serie A side Fiorentina have confirmed the signing of Tariq Lamptey. 

The Ghana international joined the La Viola from Premier League side Brighton & Hove Albion in a deal worth £6m, including add-ons.

Lamptey is expected to be a backup option for Brazilian defender Dodo. He has been handed jersey number 48.

His campaign last season was hampered by recurring injuries, limiting him to just 15 appearances for Brighton.

Despite the setbacks, he managed to contribute two goals and several assists.

Liverpool agree British record £125m fee for Isak

Liverpool have agreed a British transfer record fee of £125m to sign striker Alexander Isak from Newcastle United.

Despite facing a legal case over allegations of rape charges, the Villarreal midfielder has been included in Otto Addo’s squad for the Matchday 7 and 8 games of the qualifiers against Chad and Mali scheduled for next month.

After being named in the 24-man squad, Preko has called Ghanaians and the playing body to support the 32-year-old ahead of the games.

“Thomas Partey needs the support of the entire country,” he told Asempa FM.
