A 26-year-old fashion designer named Mabel Asantewaa has allegedly been fatally stabbed by her boyfriend.
This tragic incident unfolded in Kalabule Chinese, near the Kasoa Tollbooth in Ghana’s Greater Accra Region.
According to police reports, the suspect, 28-year-old carpenter Bra Sammy, had spent the night with Mabel before a heated argument erupted.
The confrontation reportedly began when he requested intimacy, which she declined due to her menstrual cycle. The situation escalated, and he allegedly attacked her with a knife, inflicting multiple stab wounds that led to her death.
Following the attack, Bra Sammy is said to have attempted suicide by ingesting poison. He survived and is currently receiving medical care under police supervision at the Amanfrom Polyclinic.
The Weija Divisional Police Command has taken charge of the investigation, and the suspect remains in custody.
