A 24year old young man populary called Chief believed to be an Armed robber killed in his bedroom at Wassa Ayiem in the Wassa Mpohor East District in the Western Region. According to some eye witness in the town, Chief the suspected thief was among the guys who do Galamsey in the town since this current Government is trying to put a stop to all illegal mining activities to an end, and because of these some illegal mining communities are not effectively operating of which their site is no longer operating.
Speaking to the Media, some people in the community said, the suspect Chief have been stealing some items like pumping Machines, pipes and other peoples items used in operating Galamsey and has been sent to the police station every blessed day and as soon as he goes less than an hour you will see him around and committing the same thing.
Others also said, he has the support of some elders in the town so anytime the police come to arrest him they go and plead on his behalf and due to this the suspect Chief, is being hated in the community. Friday dated on the 11th of July, around 10pm in the night that Chief,the suspected armed robber met his untimely death, killed in his owned room leaving knife and his own phone beside him.
According to some members at the scene, nobody said good things about Chief.
