Greek health professionals Arrive in Ghana for Free Health Care Mission

A cluster of nine Greek volunteer physicians and nurses have arrived in Ghana to render free medical care to communities all around the nation from August 28 to September 10, 2025.

The Ministry of Health, in alliance with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Greek Consulate in Ghana, and nearby Orthodox parishes, the Holy Orthodox Archdiocese of Accra, is organizing the medical mission with the approval of the Patriarchate of Alexandria and All Africa.
Among the visiting specialists are nurses, internists, ophthalmologists, surgeons, and general practitioners. Together 22 suitcases of donated medications that will be freely given out.

Communities programmed to profit include Gomoa Fomena, Tema Newtown, Lapaz, Larteh Akuapem, Akim South, and Akim Breman.

Medical assistance will include free consultations, pharmaceutical support, preventive examinations, and discussions on hygiene and first aid.

His Eminence, Archbishop Daniel of Accra, advised the public to take advantage of the mission, describing it as “a gift of compassion, open to all regardless of race, nationality, or religion.”
