Two cases of Mpox are currently on admission as cases of the disease keeps rising in the country.
Thirty-seven new cases have been recorded as of 18th August 2025, bringing the total confirmed cases to 409 with one death recorded.
The Ghana Health Service in its latest situational report continued to caution the general public against the sharing of personal effects like sponge and towels in households.

The country is already in the process of getting Mpox vaccines into the country for the at-risk population.
Mpox spreads mainly through close contact with an infected person.
The general public is encouraged to report symptoms of rashes early to the nearest health facility.
