A Krobo-based youth and advocacy organisation, Kloma Hengme, has announced plans to stage a protest on Thursday, 24th July 2025, over the prolonged neglect of the Somanya–Kpong Highway projectIn a statement to announce the planned protest, the group voiced deep frustration over the apparent lack of commitment from both local and national authorities in addressing the deteriorating state of the road.
