Managing Director of TDC Ghana Limited, Courage Makafui Nunekpeku has filed a lawsuit against Kweku Baako Media Limited, the Editor-in-Chief of The New Crusading Guide, M’Ideas Group, and Roger A. Agana over alleged defamatory publications.
In the writ, Nunekpeku is seeking a perpetual injunction to restrain the defendants, their agents, or assigns from publishing or causing to be published any statements deemed defamatory against him.
He is also demanding general, aggravated, and/or exemplary damages, as well as an order directing the defendants to issue an unqualified apology and retraction with equal prominence in The New Crusading Guide newspaper and on the websites thenewcrusadingguideonline.com and newsghana.com.gh.
The plaintiff is also seeking costs, including solicitor’s fees, and any other orders the court may consider appropriate, the writ, dated September 10, 2025, states.
The legal action was filed by Samora Cann, Esq. of Machel Stanley Corporate & Commercial Lawyers on behalf of Nunekpeku. The defendants have been commanded to enter an appearance within eight days of being served or risk judgment in default.
The lawsuit arises from allegations that the defendants published a story claiming the TDC boss was implicated in a land-grabbing scandal.
