The Communications Director of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Henry Asante Twum, has spoken highly about new Black Stars player Derrick Arthur Kohn.
Born in Germany to Ghanaian parents, Derrick Arthur Kohn is part of the 24-man squad named by Ghana coach Otto Addo for the upcoming games against Chad and Mali in the qualifiers for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Having represented Germany at the U19 level, the full-back could have played for the country’s senior national team, but has opted to play for Ghana.
Excited about the news, Henry Asante Twum has backed Derrick Arthur Kohn to do well in the Black Stars, describing the left-back as one with exceptional talent.
“Derrick Arthur Kohn has gladly agreed to switch his nationality from Germany to Ghana.
“Derrick Arthur Kohn is an exceptional talent who has very good attributes as a defender,” Asante Twum said in an interview with Starr FM.
Derrick Arthur Kohn, 26, is expected to report to the camp of the Black Stars on Monday when the national team regroups to prepare for the crucial games against Chad and Mali.
