Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang enstooled owoabrempong-kru-kow-I at komenda festival

Ghana’s Vice President Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang has been honoured with the distinguished title Owoabrempong Kru-Kow I, following her enstoolment by the chiefs and people of the Komenda Traditional Area.

The colourful rite, which formed part of this year’s Komendaman Nyeyi Festival on Saturday, September 13, 2025, celebrated her elevation into the traditional fold.

Her stool name, Owoabrempong Kru-Kow I, embodies respect, honour, and gratitude for her remarkable service to education, national development, and her steadfast devotion to the principles of leadership and communal service.

The occasion was adorned with vibrant cultural expressions resounding drums, graceful dances, and symbolic rituals—signifying the deep acceptance of the Vice President into Komenda’s traditional heritage as both a leader and a partner in development.

In their tribute, the chiefs lauded Professor Opoku-Agyemang’s tireless efforts to uplift the lives of Ghanaians and voiced optimism that this sacred enstoolment would strengthen the bond between the chieftaincy institution and the state.
