Tidal Rave Festival returns this November with a fresh twist, transforming into a two-day extravaganza on the 14th and 15th at La Palm Royal Beach Hotel. Attendees can expect a reimagined beach party experience that blends music, culture, and creativity.
The festivities kick off with an exclusive pre-party hosted by Johnnie Walker on Friday, setting the stage for Saturday’s full-day celebration. Highlights include a vibrant road carnival leading guests to the venue, turning the journey into part of the fun.
Festival Director Awo Ampadu Somuah revealed that this year’s edition will spotlight the “Culture Currents” a dynamic team of creatives such as Lisa Quama, Ato Sekyi, Rev Erskine, Samuella Graham, Ellen Osabutey, Makafui Awuku, Kojo Junior, and Joewackle. Their collective expertise will shape the event’s themes around fashion, food, dance, storytelling, and sustainability.

Somuah emphasized that while Tidal Rave has always been known for its electrifying atmosphere, 2025 marks a shift toward celebrating the creative forces behind the scenes. The Culture Currents will infuse the festival with fresh perspectives, ensuring it’s not just a party—but a celebration of community and innovation.
Brand partners are stepping up their game too. Absa Bank is rolling out “Red Alert” tickets, offering special deals and curated experiences. Charles Addo, Absa’s Retail Banking Director, described the festival as a bold expression of youth and ambition.
Johnnie Walker is also back, introducing “Afro Exchange,” a cultural immersion initiative following last year’s successful “Flavour Code Experience.” Nana Yaa Amoah-Owusu of Guinness Ghana noted that the brand’s involvement goes beyond whisky it’s about creating premium moments that resonate with the festival’s energy.
In a major development, Tidal Rave has entered a two-year partnership with the Black Star Experience, aimed at boosting Ghana’s tourism and creative industries. Rex Owusu Marfo, BSE Coordinator, called the collaboration a strategic investment in preserving and promoting Ghanaian culture.
EchoHouse CEO Beryl Agyekum Ayaaba echoed this sentiment, saying the festival serves as a global stage for Ghana’s artistic talent. Plans are already underway to expand the event to other African nations, with the first new location to be revealed later this year.
With support from Absa Bank, Johnnie Walker, Red Bull, MobileMoney Limited, and Black Star Experience, the 2025 edition of Tidal Rave promises to redefine what it means to rave both in Ghana and across the continent.
