KNUST Assistant Headmaster of Academics Relieved of Duties Over Viral Video Controversy

The Ghana Education Service (GES) has taken disciplinary action against Charles Akwasi Aidoo, the Assistant Headmaster in charge of Academics at KNUST Senior High School in Kumasi.

This follows the emergence of a widely circulated video on social media allegedly showing him in an inappropriate situation with a female student.

In a statement released on September 29, 2025, and signed by Head of Public Relations Daniel Fenny, GES announced that Mr. Aidoo has been removed from his post and prohibited from entering the school premises while investigations are underway.

The Service emphasized its commitment to student welfare and professional conduct, stating that any further actions will align with its code of ethics.

GES reiterated its zero-tolerance stance on misconduct and reaffirmed its dedication to maintaining discipline and safeguarding the dignity of students across educational institutions.
