Attorney-General: Prosecutions in National Service and Sky Train scandals to begin in April

Attorney-General and Minister of Justice, Dr Dominic Ayine, has confirmed that prosecutions in the National Service and Sky Train scandals will commence by mid-April, with suspects actively cooperating with investigators.

Speaking at a press conference on Monday, March 24, 2025, Dr Ayine disclosed that eight suspects had been interrogated, with many providing crucial information to aid the investigations.

“I can confirm that investigations will conclude in the National Service and Sky Train scandals at the middle of April for prosecutions to begin,” he stated.

Progress under ‘Operation Recover All Loot’

The press briefing was held to update the public on the government’s “Operation Recover All Loot” (ORAL) initiative, which has already resulted in the arrest of two former New Patriotic Party (NPP) appointees.

Dr Ayine revealed that investigators had gathered significant evidence, including suspicious payments made to top executives by private vendors. He also alleged that a Ghanaian Member of Parliament (MP) accepted a bribe to suppress media coverage of the scandal.
