The One Week observance of the death of Ghanaian music icon, Daddy Lumba, will be held on Saturday, August 30, in Accra at a yet-to-be-disclosed venue. However, the final funeral rites will take place in Kumasi. 

This was disclosed by Lumba’s head of family (Abusuapnyin), Kofi Owusu, after visiting the Manhyia Palace to officially inform the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II about Lumba’s death.

He mentioned that Lumba was a royal, so the family couldn’t have announced any arrangements without officially informing the Asantehene and seeking his counsel.
