Egypt’s Defense Minister, General Abdel-Meguid Saqr, last Saturday, September 6, hosted Ghana’s Acting Defense and Finance Minister, Cassiel Ato Forson, in Cairo for strategic discussions aimed at strengthening military collaboration between the two nations.
During the meeting, General Saqr emphasized the historic partnership between Egypt and Ghana’s armed forces and expressed interest in broadening cooperation across various defense sectors.
Ato Forson, leading a senior Ghanaian delegation, reaffirmed Ghana’s dedication to enhancing military relations with Egypt.
He praised Egypt’s stabilizing role in the region and its support for African countries during times of crisis.
The talks were attended by top military officials from both countries, including Egypt’s Chief of Staff, Lieutenant General Ahmed Khalifa, and Ghana’s Chief of Defence Staff, Lieutenant General William Ayamdo.
