Two men accused of robbing passengers at Mallam Junction in Accra have been remanded by the Weija Circuit Court, while a third suspect managed to escape police custody. Western Regional Police Command, have arrested two alleged military officers and two civilians who reportedly attempted to rob LongShine Mining Company Limited, a Chinese-owned firm, on Sunday, September 28, at Prestea-Obouhu. Three Asempaneye Youth Jailed 75 Years for Highway Robbery

The Ashanti North Police Command has confirmed that three young men have been convicted and handed a total of 75 years’ imprisonment with hard labour for robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery. The ruling was delivered on Thursday, September 26, 2025, by the Offinso Circuit Court presided over by Paul Oduro Esq.
