The Council of Bono and Ahafo Associations of North America (COBAANA) proudly congratulates Osagyefo Oseadeeyo Dr. Agyemang Badu II, Omanhene of the Dormaa Traditional Area, on his appointment as a Justice of the Court of Appeal in Ghana.
Nana Agyemang Badu II’s elevation to this esteemed position is not only a personal achievement but also a proud moment for the entire Bono, Bono East, and Ahafo communities. His dedication to the rule of law, coupled with his wise leadership as a traditional ruler, continues to serve as a powerful example of how cultural heritage and modern governance can coexist and thrive.
We also extend our heartfelt congratulations to all the other newly appointed Justices who have answered the call to serve as justices at the appellate level. Your integrity, experience, and service are critical to upholding Ghana’s legal system.
We wish to extend our profound appreciation to His Excellency John Dramani Mahama, President of the Republic of Ghana, for his visionary leadership and commitment to strengthening Ghana’s judiciary through the appointment of Osagyefo Oseadeeyo Dr. Agyemang Badu II, as a Justice of the Court of Appeal.
This historic appointment is a testament to the exceptional wisdom, and dedication of Nana to national service. It also stands as a moment of great pride not only for the people of Dormaa but for the entire Bono Region and Ghana at large. We acknowledge and commend President Mahama for the confidence reposed in Nana Agyemang Badu II and the other justices, a recognition that underscores the value of traditional leadership, experience, and fairness in the dispensation of justice.
We share in the admonition of the President of the Republic to the newly elevated Justices in charging them to strive to leave a lasting legacy when he said “if you do this, long after you have left the Bench, your names will not be nearly recorded in law reports; they will be remembered in the hearts of Ghanaians as justices who renewed our faith in our republic”. COBAANA is convinced that Nana Agyemang Badu’s name will be written in gold in the hearts and minds of posterity when they talk about Justices who renewed their faith in our republic.
COBAANA remains committed to celebrating and supporting the achievements of distinguished citizens of the Bono, Bono East and Ahafo regions, both at home and abroad.
Once again, congratulations to Osagyefo Oseadeeyo Dr. Agyemang Badu II and all the newly appointed Justices. We pray for wisdom, strength, and success in your new roles.
