Delta Launches Seasonal Accra–Atlanta Route as Part of Centennial Celebration

Delta Air Lines has announced the introduction of a seasonal daily nonstop service between Accra and Atlanta, set to begin on December 1, 2025.

The launch accords with the airline’s 100th anniversary, marking a century of global aviation leadership and operational excellence.

Speaking at a press briefing in Accra, Michael Thomas, Delta’s General Manager for Communications, highlighted Ghana’s strategic importance in the airline’s African operations.

“Ghana remains a vital hub in our Africa network,” Thomas said. “Expanding our service from Accra reflects our confidence in the market and our commitment to offering premium travel experiences.”

He further noted that Delta’s engagement in Ghana extends beyond air travel. “After nearly 20 years of service, we’ve witnessed the resilience and ambition of this market. Our investment goes beyond aircraft it’s about people, partnerships, and contributing to Ghana’s growth.”

With the new Atlanta route, Delta will now operate two direct connections to Accra: a year-round daily flight from New York and a seasonal daily service from Atlanta.
