Charcoal and food sellers at Bibiani-Newtown market who yearned for help as garbage site was disturbing their business last Friday have today eulogised stakeholders for immediately clearing up the site to give them comfortable stay and healthy air. Speaking to the media, they were much appreciative to stakeholders and the media for yeoman’s job done to make the place inhabitable again.
However, they pleaded for additional containers and swift emptying of the waste containers instead of waiting for it to spill over.Hon. SAMUEL KWEGYIR, Newtown-Kyekyewere electoral area Assembly Member indicated the effort put in place to clear the site while praying beneficiaries to shun throwing refuse on the floor when the containers are available.
He also applauded the pressmen for their continuous follow up on issues of urgent concern.
According to him, there are plans to relocate the site once the assembly gets new place.
